Enjoy Theater At Home | Learn Special Things Related To Projectors DLP (Digital Light Processing)

Enjoy theater at home, learn special things related to projectors – If you are thinking of installing a projector at home, then it is important to know about the correct mounting, stability and correct placement. Most people do not like going to the cinema hall and watching the film, because there is no home-like facility and freedom. Because of this, they have to watch movies at home on a small television screen, but one way to do this is to install a projector at home. If you are going to install a home projector at home, then according to this you can estimate the size of the image you get from a certain distance. Distance here means the distance between your projector and the wall or screen. You can extract the image size by dividing the projector’s throw ratio by distance.

If the projector is placed 10 feet away from the screen and its throw ratio is 1.8 to 2.22, then you will get the image size from 54 to 66 inches. To avoid image pixelation, it is important to ensure that the distance between you and the screen is at least twice the width of the image. Many projector manufacturers such as BenQ, Epson, Sony, Panasonic and ViewSonic provide distance calculators on their websites, so that consumers can easily determine placement spots for them.

Projector Type

The projector is divided into three parts, DLP, LCD and LED projector based on its working technique. Pocket projectors have also come on the market nowadays.

DLP: DLP (Digital Light Processing) uses a chip made of small microscopic mirrors. Also, it also has a spinning color wheel. DLP provides sharp images, has a better response time and also has the capability of 3D output. It supports both active and passive projection.

LCD projectors: LCD projectors use liquid crystal displays. They do not have any moving parts and because of this they are usually less expensive. LCDs get better saturation, less noise and they work much better in larger venees. However, their filters require maintenance and have low contrast.

LED projectors:  LED projectors typically use very small LEDs and have lifetimes of over 20,000 hours. They provide better colors, as well as lower power consumption and have a zero maintenance cost. LED projectors are smaller than LCD or DLP. LED projectors emit less heat. Brightness is limited in LED projectors compared to LCD or DLP projectors.

Pocket Projectors: LEDs are used as light source in pocket or pico projectors, due to which they become quite compact. They can also be kept in trouser pockets. Most pico projectors are of palm size. They can also be integrated with mobile phones or handheld digital cameras. However, these projectors do not offer much resolution or brightness. In this case, they are considered better for small and dark rooms. You can choose a screen size of up to 60 inches and connect your smartphones, gaming consoles and laptops to them. Some designs also have a built-in Android operating system, internal memory, and a rechargeable battery. Despite all this, the weight of these devices is less than 500 grams.

Wall or Screen – You can choose the wall instead of the screen, but the projector does not perform well on it. The screen is a better way than the wall. Some screens reflect more light. It performs well in high-light rooms or its results are good when your projector has low brightness. Black borders around the screens also increase contrast. This makes the image better. Apart from this, the screens have the right shade of white and gray, which removes the problem of color cast. If you use a wall, it should be smooth and completely white painted. You can make it special acrylic reflective paint for projectors.
